If you are willing to follow these steps below you will 100% land pressure washing jobs within hours. (Weather Permitting)
When it comes to getting new pressure washing clients, it is important to keep in mind the long term outlook. What I mean by this is maximizing your ability to show up in front of more people and be talked about more in your local area over the coming months, not just the immediate future. You do this by getting exposure and impressions.
How To Get Soft Washing Jobs By Knocking On Doors
Before you begin knocking on doors it is very important to have a few things in mind and create a game plan. The first thing you must consider is, are you going to be pressure washing long term or is it a short term hustle?
This will determine your goal an script for knocking on doors. If you are planning on growing a soft washing business long term (which this is recommended for) then you are able to gain much more value from each customer than just payment. You can also receive Google reviews, Facebook shout outs, lawn signs, referrals, upsells, repeat business and much more long term value over the life of that customer.
Each time you receive a review on Google, you increase you odds of showing up when people in your area search for terms related to pressure washing and exterior cleaning. This can play a huge role even in as little is one month for generating dozens of leads and phone calls for basically free. This can be more difficult in your area based on your local market and your local competition.
Step 1: Your Script:
Assuming your goal with pressure washing is to grow a business relatively long term, I will share my script that has seemed to work very well for me. I have tried many different scripts and different tonalities, I have noticed that some work better than others. Our goal with the first script is to get into the neighborhood, wash a house, place a lawn sign, get a review and then possibly upsell more or sell to neighbors. By this point we will have gotten many impressions in this community for free and will most likely sell 2-3 jobs at a minimum.
Keep in mind, this scripts should be soft and moldable, when you speak it should not sound forced or robotic. I would recommend modeling the structure of the script and then filling in areas with details that work best for you.
